Nutritional Consulting & Intervention

My work is focused on providing solutions created for your individual needs.

As a licensed dietitian-nutritionist with a functional medicine approach, I approach each case by looking at all the possible angles to come up with interventions to address the underlying or root cause of the issue. I do this through my intake process, looking at your current diet, considering your diagnosed health concerns, as well as working with your current health care provider if needed and approved by you. I am trained to review biochemical lab work and will sometimes recommend lab work if I think it will provide relevant information.

Conditions that can be addressed with nutritional intervention

  • ADHD

  • Autoimmune-related issues

  • Disordered eating

  • Fatigue

  • Gastrointestinal issues (IBS, IBD, constipation, diarrhea, bloating)

  • Anxiety

  • GERD

  • Depression

  • Food sensitivities

  • Food allergies

  • High cholesterol

  • Autoimmune issues

  • Metabolic syndrome

  • Blood sugar regulation

  • High blood pressure

Please keep in mind that your session fee includes time I will spend researching medication/herb-nutrient interactions, reviewing case notes, pathologies, creating strategies, reviewing lab work and creating your individualized plan, meaning that I am working on your case outside of time that we are together. There will be no additional costs unless it is for something we have discussed and mutually agreed to ahead of time, such as lab testing or supplements. I will always try to have lab work done by your own medical practitioner if possible so that it can be covered by insurance. I like people to plan for at least 3-6 visits, as it is difficult to make real changes, see results and meet goals with only 1-2 visits.

There is no one plan or diet that works for everyone! After meeting and discussing your goals, I often suggest that we begin working together and meeting bi-weekly or weekly for the first month or two, and scaling back frequency as goals are being met, depending on your specific needs. I do not have a set program for everyone because we are all biochemically unique individuals. Your plan is created for your specific needs and goals. Please understand that I do not give nutritional advice until I have completed your initial intake.

If you would like me to coordinate care with your doctor, GI specialist, therapist or other heath care provider, I am happy to do that.
